shift in the weather
I woke this morning to a cool breeze from my window. It was so delicious that I had to snuggle in for another precious five minutes of sleep. If only it could be like this all year long.

Well, NOLA has lots more central air than NYC does and also cars provide instant relief that long waits on subway platforms cannot offer.
But I don't miss the heat of my summers working at the Audubon Zoo.
Ah, yes. There's nothing like the smell of monkey feces on a sweltering day.
And I concede your point regarding the central air and stifling subways.
Yes, and the quality of iced coffee is beyond compare in NOLA. I need to start making my own Viennese blend with Mexican vanilla.
The smell of the Audubon Zoo is forever etched on my mind. I should write about that experience sometime. Do you bring your family there a lot? You should get a membership if you don't have one. It's definitely worth it.
